Trata-se de um apelo de consciência social sobre a questão do desaparecimento da tecelagem manual no alentejo e das últimas tecedeiras ainda a laborar.
Através da composição musical produzida pelo músico experimentalista Mestre André, acompanhada de vídeo, vamos poder identificar os momentos chave do processo criativo durante a captação de som e as diferentes "cadências" de cada instrumento de produção têxtil, assim como da interacção entre o músico, o olhar do realizador João Meirinhos e as últimas tecedeiras e fiandeira. O espectáculo será apresentado dia 20 de Agosto em Évora no Largo da Sé de Évora. PRESENTATION Solar powered cinema: to share is to be human

First-hand accounts of running a itinerant solar powered cinema project. Cinéma Du Désert project members will talk about the ethics of running such a project and challenges of social activism while traveling the world, often going to very remote places.  They will discuss mixing cinema with grassroots movements, with activism, with environmentalism, with people who are at risk of losing their livelihoods to just-for-profit structures. We aim to directly provide new information that can work as a trigger for some real palpable change in people's' lives so to help them adapt to a rapidly changing world!
